Antonia Lofaso

Antonia Lofaso's cuisine offers a chance to discover the possibilities within her. Curiosity grew in her after she moved from the Long Island suburbs to explore the diverse culture of Los Angeles. Carnitas and Cavatellis on the same menu is her ideology. All of her dishes share a single concept, that is embracing the moment and reminiscing on the old. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso founded in 2013, was well-received because it was inspired by her Italian heritage. Lofaso's old-school Italian rendition is widely regarded as one the Los Angeles' most captivating dining establishments. Lofaso consistently serves excellent food at Scopa it is a local favorite. Customers describe it as authentic and satisfying. Lofaso studied under some of the most renowned chefs and learned their advanced methods but she never afraid to go against her gut intuitions. She worked closely with many celebrities and rose rapidly through the ranks in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Lofaso as well as Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. Lofaso found her place in Black Market, and through her partnerships she has created. Lofaso was able to enjoy the freedom to express her creativity that she desired through this collaboration. Black Market is not constrained by one definitive direction and that is the intention. The course could start with chips of dill potato and shishito chili peppers. Then it's a lobster roll Korean wings and a succession of meatballs. Antonia is the anchor for this bold array of flavours. Throughout her career Lofaso has measured her achievements through her ability to connect with her viewers and remain authentic to her personality. She has been a part of a variety of television shows including Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars and Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents are still being showcased as a judge for CNBC's Restaurant Startup. In 2012, Lofaso joined with Penguin to publish"The Busy Mother's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Quick Delicious home-cooked Meals and tells the story of the challenges she overcame while studying at the elite French Culinary Institute, and while caring for her child Xea. Lofaso believes that all of her success is due to her passion of cooking and she is capable of keeping her finger on the pulse of this field by staying on her kitchen.
